In the Early Morning, 82 Tons of (giant) Were Lifted Into Place

    The 'steel arm' stretched out and crossed over Handan. In the early morning of March 10th, the controlled railway project of Gutian Road, invested and constructed by Hubei Communications Investment Group and managed by Wuhan Investment Company, reached a new milestone - the first section of the rotating continuous steel box girder with a total span of (100+100) meters was successfully hoisted.


    Gutian Road has a special geographical location for the railway interchange bridge, located in the "three-dimensional restricted zone" formed by the "corridor" of 110 kV/220 kV high-voltage lines and eight railway trunk lines including Handan and Shanghai Chengdu.


    The lifting section this time is the bottom steel box girder of the eighth section of the 21st pier of the involved railway rotary bridge. The total weight of the lifting in this round is 205 tons, and the heaviest section of the first section reaches 82 tons. The project team used a 650 ton crawler crane to carry out the operation, and achieved real-time monitoring of the lifting trajectory through the Beidou satellite positioning system. Combined with the near electric alarm device, a dual safety guarantee system was built, and the first lifting task was completed in nearly 4 hours.


    Faced with complex working conditions such as safe distance of high-voltage lines and multi track cross operation, the project team has established a "three-dimensional pre control" mechanism. Organize multiple rounds of expert discussions to optimize specialized plans. Introduce near electric alarm and Beidou positioning system to add "double insurance" to construction safety. Multiple desktop simulations, on-site simulation exercises, multiple rounds of trial lifting, and process optimization were organized. And select the staggered construction of "skylight points" at night to avoid railway operation periods.


    The Gutian 1st Road project is located in the western part of Hankou, running in a north-south direction, connecting Qiaokou District and Dongxihu District. It starts from the south side of the intersection of Changyun Road in the south and ends at the west side of Jinyinhan South Street in the north, connecting with the already constructed road. The project spans the Handan, Shanghai Chengdu Railway, Third Ring Road, and Zhanggongdi along the line, with a total length of 2786.06 meters. It is constructed using a main elevated road and ground auxiliary road, both of which have 4 to 6 lanes. After the completion of the project, driving from Changyun Road intersection in Qiaokou to Jinyinhan South Street in Dongxihu District will be shortened to about 5 minutes.
