Chain part: When the chain link wear reaches 10% of the original diameter, it means that its load-bearing capacity has been greatly reduced and needs to be scrapped. If the chain link undergoes plastic deformation and elongates to 5% of the original length, it will change the mechanical properties of the chain and should be scrapped in time. Any cracks or breaks on the chain, even if they are very small, may cause serious accidents and must be scrapped immediately. If there is severe corrosion, pitting or deep pits on the surface of the chain, resulting in a reduction of more than 10% in effective diameter, it should also be scrapped.
Accessories: If the pin of the chain link wears more than 5% of the original diameter, it will affect the connection performance and reliability of the chain and needs to be scrapped. For the end accessories of the chain rigging, such as hooks, eyelets, etc., if there are defects such as deformation, cracks, wear, etc. that affect their normal use and safety performance, they should also be scrapped to ensure the safety of the entire rigging system.
